WINTER WATCH:
Over the winter your water chemistry continues to change and if not treated / maintained could cause etching or scaling to the surface of the pool. We have been getting an increased number of clients requesting for us to offer this service. During each visit, we will conduct a seven point inspection to insure your pool opening is as quick and easy as possible.
- Check the water level to make sure it’s at the correct winter level. If water level is too high, we will pump it down to the correct level. This is very important for all pools regardless of type of cover. (Solid, automatic, or mesh covers, as well as uncovered pools.)
- Inspect pool cover and other visible pool components to check on possible damage by debris, weather, or vandalism. Repairs will be recommended as necessary.
- Check the pool cover anchoring system. Replace water bags, anchors, straps or springs as necessary.
- Test water chemistry. pH balance is particularly important over the winter. This is the biggest cause of etching and scaling. We will also add algicide if necessary as the spring weather comes. (All chemicals are at no additional cost.)
- Check equipment area for any winter related problems.
- Brush pool bottom if necessary, to loosen algae and debris as well as help to prevent staining.
- Notify you of any safety or additional concerns regarding your pool.
